Catholic Daughters of the Americas is a national organization for Catholic women.
Our Mission
The Mission Statement for Catholic Daughters of the Americas is:
CDA strives to embrace the principal of faith, working through love in the promotion of justice, equality and the advancement of human rights and human dignity for all.
Activities
Catholic Daughters Court Regina Coeli #1521 of St. Anne’s Parish meets monthly from September through June. Members support parish activities and each other through prayer and volunteer work.
CDA members work together to raise funds to support various national and local charities including St. Anne’s Food Bank, CDA Prayer Blankets, Porterville Area Coordinating Council, Helping Hands, Family Crisis Center, Right to Life, Porterville Adult Day Services, Habitat for Humanity and others. A CDA scholarship is given each year to a young Catholic woman entering Porterville College.
CDA fund raisers include bake sales, Annual Christmas Bazaar and Salad Buffet Luncheon every November and First Annual Fashion Show and Tea begun in 2015.
Membership and Dues
Membership is open to all Catholic women. Dues are $25.00 each year, prorated for members who join mid-year. We work together to raise money so we can give it away and enjoy each other’s company while doing it.
