Ministry to the Sick

The primary purpose of this ministry is to provide Holy Communion to parishioners or Catholics who are sick, elderly or convalescent who are unable to attend Mass on a regular basis. Other services our ministers provide are prayer, reading of scriptures/books, sing or play instruments, or simply be of comfort and support to the afflicted. Volunteer Eucharistic Ministers conduct communion services at four local convalescent homes, one senior assisted living center, Sierra View Medical Center, and the homebound.
Must be an adult (18 years or older) and faithful member of Saint Anne's Parish.
Must abide by the Sacraments of the Catholic Church.
Must submit to a live scan/fingerprints.
Must be interviewed by coordinator of this ministry prior to submitting applications.
Must receive Safe Environment training and all other training pertaining to this ministry.
Two applications are required and are available in the parish office. 1. Diocese of Fresno Request to Volunteer Services,, 2. Volunteer Application of Saint Anne's Parish. and 3. Live Scan Form (fingerprints)
Applicants wishing to volunteer at Sierra View Medical Center must submit an additional application from that establishment after they have received approval of Rev. Msgr. Scott Daugherty, Saint Anne's Parish Pastor
